Hi, my name is Scott Wright, I was a top technician for a well known national automotive repair facility that encouraged me, and other technicians to sell parts and services that were not needed. In the 20 years that I have been working in the automotive industry, I have found that most repair shops and dealers, will try to sell you parts and services that are not necessary.
I have always had a moral problem with selling services that weren't necessary, and replacing perfectly good parts with parts that were very often, of lesser quality than the original part. like many other technicians, I was not happy about these deceitful tactics; unfortunately, the technicians have no other choice than to do what management says, if they want to keep their jobs.
I am offering an Engine Diagnostic Service to help people avoid getting ripped off.
I have invested in a portable, digital, scanner analyzer. In addition to displaying trouble codes and sensor data, this scanner can monitor the data stream from your car's computer in real time while driving, allowing me to pinpoint intermittent problems.
If your engine check / service light is on constantly, or comes on intermittently, or the problem only occurs under certain driving conditions, or your vehicle just doesn't seem to run right. I can find the problem fast with my analyzer.
How the Diagnostic Service works:
I will come to your location and scan your vehicle's computer for trouble codes and check for correct sensor output. I will also inspect ignition, fuel injection and emissions components. when I find a problem, I will inform you, and explain your options, and, in some cases, I will fix the problem at no additional cost. If the problem is a "dealer only repair," you will be armed with a foreknowledge of what the problem is when you take the car to the dealer, perhaps, saving you hundreds of dollars or more.
